Heather graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Centennial College in 2006. She is a member of both the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
Heather completed the Combined Decongestive Therapist (CDT) training with advanced certification from the Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) in August 2015. She has also taught at the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy (RCC).
Heather specializes in chronic pain management and rehabilitation treatments. Heather is experienced in treating catastrophic injuries, as well as pre/postnatal massage and palliative care. She offers seminars to the public on the theory, techniques and benefits of infant massage.
Along with her training in Swedish Massage, Heather also incorporates techniques such as Trigger Point Therapy, low grade Joint Manipulations, Muscle Energy, Deep Tissue Release, Manual Lymph Drainage and Compression Bandaging.
Heather has a specific interest in treating migraines/sinusitis and breathing difficulties such as asthma. Heather treats a variety of conditions including lymphedema,chronic pain, stress and discomforts of pregnancy, with the ultimate goal of fulfilling her clients’ health care goals.
Heather volunteered her services as an RMT at the Para Pan Am Games in Toronto, August 2015. She also volunteers at Frontier College as a tutor.
